CENTRAL COAST GOLF ACADEMY JUNIOR PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Here at the Central Coast Golf Academy we make it a priority to focus our instructional efforts towards junior golf. Our Junior Golf Program is designed to encompass every aspect of the game. The CCGA JUNIOR PROGRAM is composed of Sessions, Camps and Tournaments.

First Tee 9 Week Sessions

Our Sessions are 9-weeks held on Saturdays each Fall, Spring Summer and Winter, with three levels based on age and golf experience. The First Tee Central Coast provides a 9-week cirriculum that teaches kids more than just golf skills but also life skills through 9 Core Values -Responsibilty, Sportsmanship, Perseverance, Confidence, Judgment, Honesty, Respect, Courtesy, and Integrity. Each Week your child will learn new golf skills and how to apply the life skill to the game of golf. Additionaly the First Tee teaches 9 Healthy Habits helping kids understand the value of Nutrition and Health. Our Sessions are taught by Certified First Tee Coaches and are a great way to introduce your child to golf. The First Tee Central Coast is one of the most impressive Chapters in the Nation with First Tee Director Billy Gibbs offering programing spanning the entire Central Coast Area. The Central Coast Golf Academy works closly with developing kids in the First Tee program into developing high school and college players.

CCGA 3 Day Camps

The CCGA golf camps combine a competitive atmosphere with the focus on being a "team" we use skills challenges, competitions, and drills to help kids fully understand every aspect of the game. Our full day camps that are offered during the Winter Holiday break, Spring Break and Summer. The camps are designed to teach kids golf skills, Full Swing, Grip,Alignment,Stance and Posture,Chipping, Putting and on course play. The morning consists of golf skills and the afternoon is 9-holes of "Team Play" golf with our PGA & LPGA instructional Staff along with our additional coaches & volunteers from the Collegiate Cal Poly Golf Team and Cal Poly Golf Alumni Players.

First Tee-CCGA Tournament Series

Our Tournament Series is composed of 5 golf events. Our tournaments are held 5 times a year. We have the Junior Masters, Junior U.S. Open, Junior British Open, Junior Pga Championship and our Holiday Classic. The tournaments are held in the same "theme" as the 4 PGA TOUR MAJORS and a Ryder Cup Format. Our tournamnt sponsors provide awards, and Trophy Engraving Cerimony.
